Problems of staff training for the library local history

The required core competencies for local history staff training are partially laid down in the educational and professional standards. References as a characteristics of information and search behavior of a researcher

The analysis of the publications of researchers in the Institute of chemical kinetics and combustion during 2007 allowed to reveal priorities for publications, to determine the retrospective of information search in the theme under investigation, to clear up «the geography» of the material, to consider the ratio of references on printed and electronic sources of information, etc.
Russian editions of the XIX century in the University Library collection in Warsaw

The research objective is to check the view, settled in bibliology, regarding it as the owner of one of the largest collections of the Russian books and magazines outside Russia. Calculations were carried out with the library card catalogs - the Chief alphabetical one and the Catalog of periodicals.
