Siberian museums in the regional publishing landscape: traditions and new trends in the early XXI century

Publications prepared by government and some private museums in the region are represented. Attention is paid to the introduction of new technologies in traditional forms of museum activity, which is implemented in particular through the production of e-publications or text placement on a museum site. It noted the lack of advertising of publications by Siberian museums that hinders their promotion to readers.
New practices of literature distribution for children and youth in Siberia and the Far East

Based on a combination of landscape-reconstructing principles, surveys, and comparative typological analysis, the article presents data that expand previously studied aspects of the functioning of the main channels for the sale of books for children in the Siberian-Far Eastern region. It is shown that books for children are the largest segment of the Russian book market, which has been growing since 2008.

Proposed are periodizations in studying history of historical book in the region and that of activities in publishing historical literature. Discussed is the concept of «historical book» and its typology with respect to Siberia and the Far East during XVIII – beginning of XX century. The directions for future investigations are outlined.

The general negative trends are particularly acute in regions. The article contains the analysis results of bookselling content in Siberian cities. Multiple levels of bookselling infrastructure state are revealed. Large cities (Novosibirsk, Omsk, Krasnoyarsk) refer to a highly evolved level, among which Novosibirsk is the largest center of wholesale and retail book trade in the Eastern Russia. A great number of local bookselling network formations are in Omsk, Krasnoyarsk, Barnaul, and others.

The reason for the phenomenal success of previously unknown religious and occult teachings has been the spiritual vacuum that occurred in the country after the Communist ideology fall. Most of the new denominations launched in Russia publishing, which by the second decade of the XXI century was carried on by several dozen communal or sectarian publishers.
