Scientometrical analysis of research collaborations in Siberian Federal District regions

The authors explore the structural changes in scientific collaborations in Siberian regions applying the method of scientometrical analysis of publications. After many years of growth, in 2022–2023 the scientific cooperation of Russian institutions with those in Europe and North America drastically reduced. The most significant changes took place in Novosibirsk and Tomsk regions that earlier had been leading in international collaborations. In the other Siberian regions the decline is less significant.

Book Competitions in Siberia and the Far East in the 1990–2020s

The purpose of the article is to present the results of the book competition movement in Siberia and the Far East in the last three decades, to identify the trends of its evolution, to determine problems and prospects. The research methodology bases on a combination of formal-logical and comparative-historical methods with the analysis of data from various sources. The forms of competitions are identified: universal and special. It has been determined that either only local publications, or also books published in other regions, can participate in competitions.

The purpose of the article is to characterize the documentary stream (DS) of front-line diaries publications of Siberians – participants in the Great Patriotic War (1941–1945). The article shows the place of diaries in source studies and the importance of diary entries for the study of anthropological content and “psychology of war”. It grounds the reasons for the paucity of front-line diaries in comparison with other types of egodocuments (memoirs, letters).

Assessing the state of the bookselling infrastructure by creating an interactive map of the country’s bookstores in order to identify the potential for its development and search for ways to optimize it is an important factor in improving the information exchange of the book industry. The article analyzes the results of the first stage (2023) of monitoring bookselling enterprises in the Siberian-Far Eastern region within the framework of the project “The map of bookstores of Russia” (“The Cultural Map of Russia. Literature. Reading”).

The paper justifies consideration of migration processes as a socio-cultural determinant, which shapes the formation, dynamics and transformation of interethnic communities. The general conceptual provisions are supported by conclusions obtained by generalization of the historical experience of the development of ethno-social processes and interethnic communities in Siberia. It is shown that their qualitative characteristics are due to the main migration waves, beginning with the annexation of Siberia to Russia in the 16th century.

The methodology of history determines what the authors will write in their books. The methodology of history is a subject of social philosophy. However, after analyzing the leading works printed before 1955 on the history of the Urals and Siberia of the 17 th century we came to the conclusion that historians did not mechanically illustrate the conclusions of social philosophy. At the end of the 19 th century V. I. Lenin, relying on Karl Marx, drew a conception of the «new period of Russian history». In the 1930s this scheme has become mandatory for all Russian historians.

For studying the Great Patriotic War history, the testimonies of direct participants and eyewitnesses of the events of the war years are of great impor tance. The purpose of the article is to give a comprehensive description of doc uments of personal origin (memoirs, diaries, letters) reflecting the participa tion of Siberians (soldiers and home front workers) in the Great Patriotic War. The article designates these documents by the generalizing term “egodocu ments”, generally accepted in the social sciences and humanities.

About the Reading Circle of the Siberian Old Believers on the Example of the Collection B-777

The purpose of the article is to reconstruct the reading and writing practices of the Siberian Old Believers of the 18th century and determine the place of Old Russian texts in their reading repertoire. Methods of textology and codicology are used. The article considers one of collections copied in the Siberian Old Believer environment at the end of 18th century – Old Believer collection B–777 from the Tomsk State University Research Library. On the basis of scriber’s records the conclusion is made about the place where collection was created: it is Altay and the south of Western Siberia.
