The higher institution library is considered as a backbone element of the information-educational space. A qualitative change in the library activities is emphasized by its ability to interact with other subjects of the educational space both within the university and beyond it. The university library has an integrative function providing the effect of the integrity of the information-educational space in two directions: internal and external ones.

Domestic sociologists and psychologists have been actively engaged in research of this topic since 1960s, foreign researchers - since the early XX century. Job satisfaction is often regarded as adaptation results measured with objective and subjective indicators. The most recognized factors influencing it are the following: gender, age, experience, work character and content, profession prestige in society, personal value-meaning orientations of employees.
