There is a library of Soviet scientists Valery Nikolaevich Chernetsov (1905-1970) and Stanislava-Wanda Iosifovna Moshinskaya (1917-1980) in the collection of Tomsk State University Research Library. They have gathered library numbered more than 2000 volumes during their life.
Both external and internal factors influencing on the development of a modern library are considered. These factors are determined by globalization processes in modern society. In such circumstances, the development of foreign librarianship becomes increasingly interdisciplinary.
The creation of official websites of modern libraries has opened up for them fundamentally new opportunities to present a wide range of information resources and services for remote users. The purpose of the article is to reveal the problem of determining the rational composition and placement of headings and subheadings in the content structure of library sites and to present a typical content model as one of the possible means to ensure the orientation of users on the sites of the same type of libraries from the standpoint of a user-oriented approach.
Украинское просветительское движение, вылившееся в 1905-1910 гг. в многочисленные товарищества под общим названием «Просвита», в первую очередь занималось издательской деятельностью на родном языке и формированием национальных библиотек. Рассматриваются и другие направления работы «Просвит» в Одессе, Екатеринославле, Екатеринодаре.
The article describes the problems of the work with the literature of limited spread in research institutes of
SB RAS. Drafts of guides for the funds with such literature are presented.
The article analyzes bibliometric issues of information-documentary flow on the information literacy in Azerbaijan, and assess its current position. It investigates statistically articles, books, theses and official documents in various languages on the relevant topic. As a result of analysis carried on various parameters, it reveals that in the information era the problem of information literacy, which is urgent today, is not satisfied in the Azerbaijani scientific space.
