An innovative component of modern library-information education should become a trend, in which frames it is possible not only to compact and intensify the study of professional issues, but also to shape tools for future professional activities in the innovation logic of an effective character. This in turn requires integrating multiple types of work in a holistic format. A master class on modeling personal exhibitions and its results in developing problems of reading study with application of bibliographic reconstruction and knowledge mapping is chosen as one of these formats.
The article describes organization of the University Libraries Methodic Association (MA) activity in Krasnoyarsk, the importance of professional units and their interaction with public organizations and associations. The article highlights sections work, the role of libraries entering MA, development tendencies, library - university interaction, libraries participation in the educational process. The authors exemplify such participation, prospects of further professional contacts and cooperation.
Scientists of the Department of Library Science and Reading Theory of St. Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts express their points of view on the problem of studying and definition of the library science research schools (RS). Today there are no generally accepted methods and description of RS as a socio-cultural institution, there is no unified strategy for their development in the library science, there is no consensus on what meaning should be invested in the «research school» notion. It’s multivariate; it is impossible to reduce it to a single unified definition yet.
The second half of XIX - early XX centuries is a period of the most dynamic development of military libraries in Russia. This time is characterized by a variety of libraries of different types and forms with their inherent properties and distinctive features. Hence, different views and approaches to the problem of terminology, typology and classification of libraries appeared in papers of Russian librarianship researchers. There are no universal schemes in the historical-library studies.
Amateur children’s and youth press (samizdat) has historical roots in Russia, including in the Siberian-far Eastern region. At each stage it was characterized by specific features conditioned by socio-cultural factors of the time. The purpose of the article is to analyze current trends in the development of children’s samizdat. The work is based on an extensive source database.
