Scientific legacy: The bibliometric mapping. (Part 2: International level)

In the second part of the study, the authors analyze the publication activity related to the use of the term “scientific legacy” in international academic literature indexed in the OpenAlex database. The comparative analysis revealed the key differences in approaches, semantic interpretations, and thematic emphases between the international and Russian scholarly practices.

Scientometrical analysis of research collaborations in Siberian Federal District regions

The authors explore the structural changes in scientific collaborations in Siberian regions applying the method of scientometrical analysis of publications. After many years of growth, in 2022–2023 the scientific cooperation of Russian institutions with those in Europe and North America drastically reduced. The most significant changes took place in Novosibirsk and Tomsk regions that earlier had been leading in international collaborations. In the other Siberian regions the decline is less significant.

The scientific libraries participate in building the information and communication infrastructure being an integral part of the scientific, educational,socio-cultural and industrial complex of the region. The authors review in brief the evolution of the State Public Scientific and Technological Library of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPSTL SB RAS) – the leading information and library center of Siberia in the context of changing scientific and educational environment.
