J.-P. SARTRE ON THE RELATIONSHIP OF CONCEPTS OF FREEDOM AND ALIENATION

The paper reveals the place and the role of the concepts of freedom and alienation in the work of the French philosopher J.-P. Sartre. Particular attention is paid to their relationship. Also, account is taken of the fact that in his early works, Sartre did not use the notion of alienation, but he used the concept of freedom. There were only hints of the concept of alienation, whereas the notion of freedom was not only used but also transformed from work to work. The evolution of these concepts and the complicated nature of their interpretation by Sartre are traced.

INSTITUTIONAL DETERMINANTS OF ETHNIC INEQUALITY REPRODUCTION

The article proposes a methodology for ethnic inequality research. Two groups of institutional mechanisms for the reproduction of inequality are singled out: formal (status ones) and informal (economic ones). On the basis of the analysis of social and cultural transformation of the first post-Soviet cycle, the assumption is made that Russian society at the present stage is entering the phase of a new interethnic fragmentation.

The city as a specific form of territorial organization of society very rarely becomes the object of philosophical analysis. Meanwhile, the importance of cities is growing in practice, and this should be reflected in theory. The study of the processes of urbanization and the topic of the city as a whole is important from the point of view of the philosophy of history - in terms of identifying the relationship between the processes of urbanization and social development, from the point of view of philosophy of culture and analysis of its modernization.

The paper analyzes the current state of the constructivist and structuralist trends in the philosophy of mathematics. The interrelation of these trends is substantiated by means of the concepts of isomorphism, invariant, and structure within the framework of the type-theoretical approach to the foundations of mathematics. In particular, the paper discusses the axiom of univalence and the modern type-theoretical concept of identity.

The paper considers institutional mechanisms and substantive approaches to managing the processes of migrant integration into the host community. The analysis is carried out in the framework of studying practical models for regulating the transformation of polyethnic communities and uses data from several countries in the European Union. It is shown that the models of practical regulation of integration processes are based on the understanding of integration as a two-way process and are primarily expressed in changes in social institutions and relations between them.

Speaking about the philosophy of mind researchers address the concept of «qualiа». In spite of the fact that this term entered the philosophical discourse at the beginning of the 20th century, the legitimacy of its use is still in question. The starting methodological point of the dispute is whether it is necessary to study the quality nature of consciousness separately or we can treat this problem as part of the language description of the functional activity of the brain. One of arguments in favor of the latter point of view is the novelty of the term.

The paper treats the relation between mathematical and logical inferences in mathematics and analyses an ontological approach for explaining the indispensability of the semantic content from mathematical proof. It was shown that such an approach entails serious metaphysical commitments, that is why it is concluded that the epistemological approach is preferable in explaining the nature of the difference between the formal and mathematical inferences.

In the framework of phenomenology as a specific eidetic discipline, the problem of the correlation of theoretical and practical aspects requires its solution. The paper focuses on the validity of interpretation of intentionality as a practical intentionality, proposed by Nam-In Lee. Practical intentionality, according to Nam-In Lee, consists only of willing intentions, which can only be realized through practice.

The article introduces the idea of alimentary problems into philosophical consideration. Highlighting this range of problems seems to be a solution not only to the lack of philosophical developments on the topic of food and nutrition, but also to overcoming prejudices and stereotypes that philosophy studies of food are not sufficiently theoretical.

The paper is devoted to the study of the divergence of the intensionalist and extensionalist traditions in the foundations of mathematics. One of the important manifestations of this discrepancy was the debate on the status of the Axiom of Choice. In particular, we argue that Russell's challenging Axioms of the Choice is connected with his intensionalist philosophy of mathematics and the extensionalist approach of Zermelo.
