Library in the social institution of reading

The main feature of a library science as social practice is revealed in comparison with bookstores and archives activities, which is the organization of public usage of documents in actual and longtime regimes. It shows that separate components of the electronic environment (electronic libraries, sites, blogs, etc.) are included in the same social practice without institutionalization process (forming establishments).
