Seed productivity and adaptability of varieties of white lupin in the conditions of the Central Chernozem zone

In field experiments for four years (2019–2022) in the conditions of the northern part of the Central Chernozem region, the productivity components of different varieties of white lupin (Lupinus albus L.) were determined and presented in the article Dega, Delta, Start, Manovitsky, Timiryazevsky and Gana, the varieties of breeding of Russian State Agrarian University – Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy, were studied.

The article presents the results of the computational method for determining the potential danger of water erosion and quantitative agrophysical and agrochemical indicators obtained by traditional methods of their direct measurement.

Use of phytobiotics in feeding monogastric animals (review)

The negative consequences of the irrational use of feed antibiotics in animal husbandry, consisting in the spread of resistance of pathogens to their action, determine the relevance of the search for and introduction of alternative stabilisers of the intestinal microbiota of animals in the feed industry. These include phytobiotics – plant preparations that help improve animal productivity and health. The paper presents a review of national and foreign scientific literature on the use of phytogenic feed additives in the feeding of monogastric animals.

Evaluation methods and inheritance pattern of stem resistance to black rot in white cabbage

The stem resistance of cabbage to black rot prevents the systemic spreading of the pathogen Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris localized in the infected leaves. In 2016-2018, the authors conducted a study to search for effective methods for the stem resistance detection and evaluation in plant breeding material and analyze the resistance inheritance in white cabbage samples. It has been shown that two methods - that of leaf sinus pricking and the excised cotyledons assay can be used to assess this type of resistance.

Effect of the probiotic “Enzimsporin” on the morphophysiological parameters of the Lena sturgeon and beluga hybrid in aquaculture

The use of probiotics is recommended for sustainable growth, increased resistance and efficiency of feed assimilation. Currently, there are commercial probiotic products prepared from the bacteria Bacillus sp., Lactobacillus sp., Enterococcus sp., Carnobacterium sp. The use of the probiotic supplement “Enzimsporin” in fish farming is in its infancy. However, information is available on the effectiveness of its use in rainbow trout.

Variability of the content of separate soil ped fractions as a sign of their stability

The authors have evaluated the variability of the results of determining the content of soilped fractions of a different size obtained by the method of dry dispersion on sieves. They have proved the fact of reaggregation of soil mass, i.e. soil mass exchange between soil peds of a different size. It has been found that the composition renewal of the soil ped mass forms the basis of the ped “life” and causes the variability of the ped composition of the soil, which describes the intensity of renewing individual soil peds.

Phenological characteristics of rose cultivars grown in protected soil using hydroponic technology

The results of studies on the phenological characteristics of five cultivars of cut roses (Chiri, Grand Prix, Gratsia, Jumilia, Red Naomi) when grown in low-volume culture in the Moscow region are presented. Jumilia with folded leaves has the greatest potential for budding (7 days), the highest shoot growth activity and early entry into the phase of mass growth of stems and leaves (14 days). Red Naomi in the middle of the row has low bud awakening (14 days), the least shoot growth activity and late entry into the phase of mass regrowth of stems and leaves (21 days).

For spring wheat, it is extremely relevant to study drought resistance in the initial phases of the growing season, as water deficiency during this period leads to significant yield losses. The method of seed germination in distilled water (control) and sucrose solution (experiment) makes it possible to evaluate drought resistance by morphological characteristics in the seedling phase.
