This paper is about research of the manuscript “Book Sishu or Shang Lunyu, of Chinese confucianistic law. Translated by Jacob Volkov”. This manuscript is a first Russian translation of confucianistic “Analects”, made in the XVIIIth century. Reason of research was in learning of specifics of this translation. The author understands the quality of products and services as the degree of proper characteristics correspondence to certain requirements. Requirements to the library collection (LC) quality are defined by consumers, founders and library patrons. The main consumer requirement is reliability and comfort use of documents from the stock, which is largely provided by the organization to its access. For the founder and library management it is important a reasonable combination of LC quality and cost-effectiveness for its maintenance and development.
The elements of a communication model as a process are disclosed, special attention is paid to the transfer of the content of a message, conditioned by communication functions and library functions. An attempt is made to model library communication, basing on significant logical basis.
The review of main directions in library sites investigations is presented. It is underlined that one can observe the transition form empirical sites investigation to the creation of standards, investigation methods and definite methodological approaches to site structure modeling.
The article represents main stages of studying of David Zamaray’s Azbukovnik (alphabet book). It estimates newly discovered copies of this book monument. The paper lists for the first time recently established sources of Azbukovnik vocabulary entries. To compare lexical data borrowings from Meletius Smotrytsky’s Slavonic Grammar (Evie, 1619) in David Zamaray’s Azbukovnik the author involves copies of its three different reductions.
