Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology. The past, present and future. (The 65-th anniversary)

The precedent events, the origins of the library and development from the initial library collections in science and technology in the early 20-th century are described. The RNPLS&T (the USSR State Public Library for Science and Technology, SPLS&T USSR, at the time of its establishment) has inherited the legacy and, partially, the collections of the State Science Library.

He characterizes the digital transformation components that dynamically influence technological and behavioral models of modern libraries, e. g. artificial intellect (AI), neural networks, copyright laws, information market transformation, and foreign software import substitution. He gives his opinion on the role of the above-mentioned components in the library information practice.
“The Kids Nobel” Project as the platform for scientific knowledge popularization at modern scientific libraries
Submitted by Гость (not verified) on Sun, 04/23/2023 - 15:38The National Library Association “Libraries of the Future” (NALF) supported through the RF Presidential Grant for Civil Society Development approved by the Presidential Grants Foundation, has been implementing the All-Russian Scientific and Educational Project “The Kids Nobel”. The Project main goals are to promote scientific knowledge and to engage 7–8 grade students in urban and rural settlements in research. At this stage, four pilot RF subjects are selected, namely Arkhangelsk, Kaluga, Ryazan and Saratov regions.
