On the completeness and correctness of input metadata in the repositories of Russian educational organizations

The institutional repositories (IR) with the open access to research and educational collections play significant role in the open science infrastructure. The metadata provide IR content discoverability and repository effectiveness. The author analyzed 25 repositories of Russian educational organization to specify the metadata detail level and correctness. The educational organizations under the study are the members of “The Priority-2030” Program.

The author examines the current problems of web-archiving practice in this country and abroad. The international standards and other important documents were retrieved and analyzed; the contextual environment (international projects and organizations) were explored, related Russian legislation is evaluated. The method of inductive information analysis was applied to analyze current publications on the subject, projects and initiatives, and websites of leading research and service organizations.

The electronic library model to support a «blended learning» system at Novosibirsk State University

A technological approach for developing a digital library model to support the blended learning in Novosibirsk State University is considered in the article. The term «digital library» in this work is interpreted as an information management system of structured cataloged collections of interactive training and reference materials. The information system architecture, principles of integration with digital repository and rules of metadata representation and transformation are described.

The main theme of the 85th IFLA World Congress – the International Federation of Library Organizations and Institutions, which was held in Athens, Greece in 2019, was "Libraries: A Dialogue for Change". Once again, the congress brought together professionals from many countries of the world to solve the problems facing libraries of various forms.
