To improve the library education in the Republic of Cameroon, the author analyzes current pedagogical technologies, which are considered as a kind of social technologies, and included various aspects and levels. In the absence of a generally accepted classification of educational technologies, nevertheless, five main groups are revealed by a type of training: contextual, problematic, project, game, interactive ones.
Brief characteristics of basic notions applied to the theory of domestic journal fund core are given. Main evolution stages of domestic journals’ stock investigations in SPSTL SB RAS and strategic tasks facing the departments working with periodicals are designated.
Problems associated with the methodology of conducting qualitative research in library science. Philosophical questions of qualitative research, peculiarities of developing a scientific program of projects implemented
in the form of qualitative paradigm are accented. Much attention is paid to the essential differences of qualitative and quantitative researches their limitations and advantages.

The article describes the records in ancient manuscripts containing Azbukovnik, provides a scientific evaluation of such records. Their typological classification in the XVII century manuscripts is given. The possibility of pre-textual study of Azbukovnik on the material of records in manuscript collections is revealed.
The article deals with an actual recent problem, which is reading guidance. It considers approaches to the concept of «reading guidance» at all stages of national library science.
