Over the past decade, the issue of uncontrolled growth of unsystematic information in Internet has remained acute for the scientific community. The problem of finding relevant information related to the distribution and autonomy of scientific information resources remains. A priority in the field of centralized access to the key scientifically significant sources of information is the creation of a united information space (UIS).
Since the early 1990s non-traditional religions were widespread in Siberia and the Far East, and across Russia, among which there was a large number of totalitarian sects and destructive cults. The reason for the phenomenal success of previously unknown religious and occult teachings has been the spiritual vacuum that occurred in the country after the Communist ideology fall. Most of the new denominations launched in Russia publishing, which by the second decade of the XXI century was carried on by several dozen communal or sectarian publishers.

The problem that patrons frequently encounter with searching via a discovery layer linked to a knowledgebase is the overwhelming number of hits. Few if any research or discussion compares how libraries resolve this difficulty. To begin a discussion, the author disseminated an open invitation for academic libraries to participate on three panels from October 2018 to June 2019 to discuss their implementation processes and decisions. Five academic libraries accepted the invitation.
