The methodological problems of scientific theory are considered. The notion of a scientific theory is analyzed. The principles of classification of scientific theories including internalist, externalist and system theories are revealed.

The article discusses the problem of the sources of M. N. Tikhomirov’s book collection kept at the State Public Scientific Technological Library of SB RAS in Novosibirsk. Based on a codicological approach in studying the manuscript collection it is possible to conclude that a part of the collection was purchased by M. N. Tikhomirov from M. S. Sevastyanov, a book salesman, who was well received by the Old Believer communities of the Baltic Region, Ukraine, Caucasus.
The collection Q.II.33 from the Tomsk collection in the Rare books and manuscripts department of SPSTL BS RAS includes the List of the Message on the Earth paradise by Novgorod archbishop Vassilij Kalika dated the XVII century. Due to textological features the List is close to archetype and belongs to archetype editorship. But the rest lists of the same editorship – Romanchenko 68 (Library of Academy of sciences) and Uvarov 1894 (898) (State historical museum), also dated XVII century, demonstrate their editors misunderstanding the essence of the problem discussed in the Message.
The interdisciplinary character of the science of language causes great difficulties in bibliographic support in this field. The object of bibliographing in linguistics is not only literature on the language, but also a variety of linguistic resources, which represent a special object to study a branch of linguistics - lexicography. Bibliography of linguistics is the least studied field by specialists among humanitarian bibliographic complexes. The paper first studied the array of domestic bibliographic sources for more than 150 years; the most significant of them are shown.
Sociological research “Human resources of public libraries: modern requirements for professional activity and opportunities for its implementation” was carried out by the Far Eastern State Scientific Library. It was made on the base public libraries in Khabarovsk region within the framework of the partnership and cooperation agreement with the National Library of Belarus.
The functional role of books (scientific, artistic, philosophical, religious and moralistic) in the public practice of the German Enlightenment is comparable to the significance of such major national concepts as the Lutheran faith and a special German character. The idea of aesthetic education in contemporary historical circumstances and socio-political circumstances actually became the ideology of national self-determination.
The article characterizes literary-artistic and socio-political Siberian journals in 1920–1930, their classification is proposed, the reasons affecting the duration of the release of printed publications are identified.
