The Role of Libraries in Preventing the Spread of Fake News in the Scientific Community

Social networks, blogs, podcasts and many other Internet channels overload the information field and contribute to the spread of false information. This situation negatively affects the process of interaction between science and society. In this regard, the library can serve as a source of reliable scientific information.

The great contribution of the library staff to the extensive and successful research and educational activities of about a thousand library users: researchers of the Institute, graduate students and students of higher educational institutions of Novosibirsk is presented.
