Electronic catalog as an object of quality assessment

The quality of electronic catalogs is a guarantee of the library collections effective use. However, an adequate methodology for assessing the quality of an electronic catalog (EC) is not available today. It is necessary to introduce a new system of quality analysis. At the research first stage the terminological analysis of the EC notion has been carried out, which reveals the absence of a universal clear definition that allows highlighting an electronic catalog in a series of other similar objects. The author traces main approaches to the definitions formation.

The article examines the transformation of self-publishing. A comparative analysis of the key features that characterize samizdat of the Soviet and the post-Soviet period is made. The definition that reflects the essence of the modern concept of samizdat is formulate.

The article is devoted to the history of Siberian regional children's book publishing. The author has collected theoretic-practical opinions of historians, bibliologists, publishers and booksellers, librarians and bibliographers, psychologists and sociologists, which purpose is to generalize and reveal regularities of books' flow for children. Publishing House of the Third Wave “Syntaxis” in France (1980–1992)

For the first time, the history of the publishing house of the third wave of Russian emigration “Syntaxis” is reconstructed, a brief outline of the history of the journal of the same name is given. The article provides a historiographic review of the study of the topic. The sources for funding the journal and the publishing house are identified. The activity of the “Syntaxis” printing house and the reasons of its origin are reconstructed. The role of the owners and founders of the publishing house M. V. Rozanova and A. D. Sinyavsky in the activities of the publishing house is shown.

The article gives the document flow characteristics on the problem of libraries methodical activity for 2008-2013 based on the documents bibliometric analysis, as well as on generalization, comparison, and a typological method. The author gets a representation on the microflow quantitative changes, its thematic, specific, geographical and publishing structures, and printing activity of certain researchers. Microflows of non-periodical editions (books and brochures) and articles from periodicals are considered separately from each other. Articles prevail in the flow.

Aim. The article aims at the analysis of the dynamics and the structure of the Russian markets of scholarly electronic information broken by reference groups of providers and users. Materials and Methods. Materials comprise results of the data processing of the Russian surveys on acquisition budgets in 2012–2018 and published results of the international surveys. We analyze three main reference groups and four sub-groups of the Russian organizations and three reference groups of providers of the electronic scholarly information.
