Civil Religion by J.-J. Rousseau and R. N. Bellah and Limits of the Toleration of the State

The historical transition of civil religion interpretations from the universal and natural to the particular and positive has been substantiated. The reasoning of the theoretical insufficiency of civil religion as a multicultural state border is given.
