Therefore, adult stem cells (postnatal SCs) are more widely used. These cells are divided into hematopoietic, mesenchymal stromal, and tissue-specific progenitor cells-precursors. Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) are able to colonize and provide long-term self-support.
