Alternaria blight of pome crops

The research was carried out on the premises of the experimental study farm of Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy in Moscow in 2018-2019. Over two years, the authors collected and microscoped samples of affected plants of different families to determine the causative agents of fungal diseases. The identification of the fungi species of the Alternaria genus was carried out by morphological features of conidia and the habitus of sporulation.

The article is dedicated to the memory of the honored agronomist, PhD (Ag) Vladimir Ivanovich Susov. The article describes the contribution of V.I. Susov in the development of agronomic measures for the cultivation of fruit trees traditional for the middle zone of the European part of Russia (apple, pear, cherry, plum) and less common ones (apricot, quince, peach, walnut and many other valuable trees). The article is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of V.I. Susov.

Analyzing the varieties of apple trees included in the assortment of the Orenburg region from various regions of our country, it can be noted that fruits of attractive appearance, large size, good taste and high yield are in the greatest demand. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to select varieties and introduce them as sustainable agrocenoses for the Orenburg region. The article presents the results of a study of 15 introduced apple varieties. Landing pattern is 3.0 × 5.0 m. The studies were carried out in 2019–2021.

Horticulture is a branch of agriculture. Its main task is to obtain biologically valuable high-quality produce. At present, intensive and super-intensive horticulture is a promising trend that can significantly increase yields and reduce production costs at a high planting density of fruit trees. Research in the field of nursery growing is of great importance in the intensification of horticulture, since the laying of intensive fruit orchards is carried out only with high-quality, leveled planting material on clonal rootstocks.
