Preparing Library Professionals to Popularize Open Science in the System of Additional Professional Education

Libraries have traditionally been involved in educating and supporting scientific process. However, the spread of the open science concept has led to changes in the way libraries support science. Promoting open science among various members of the society is an integral part of this change. Based on pre-viously identified competences necessary for such participation, as well as the structural-functional model of forming the librarian-bibliographer popularizer of open science competences, the course of professional development was organized in SPSTL SB RAS.

The dynamic academic and educational environment needs the specialists capable to work in the intensively developing open science information infrastructure, to retrieve, analyze and synthesize heterogeneous information, to process structured and unstructured research data; to document research findings, to represent them in the open access; to be engaged in social media, and to be aware of many aspects of the open science concept.

The successful implementation of tasks facing libraries requires constant improvement of library professionals’ skills. Therefore, the most important directions of library activities is concerning about the library staff professional growth.

Рассмотрена кадровая проблема как один из основных факторов развития библиотечного дела Красноярского края. Изучена история становления системы обеспечения библиотек края кадрами в советский период, отличавшийся активизацией библиотечного дела. Описана система подготовки специалистов, повышения квалификации работников библиотек, показана количественная и качественная кадровая динамика в крае в разные годы данного периода. Предпринята попытка анализа взаимовлияния динамики библиотечных кадров и развития научного потенциала края.

Изучается состояние кадрового потенциала отрасли в Республике Саха. Анализируется организация профессионального обучения специалистов в Национальной библиотеке республики. Определены потребности в обучении и переобучении (их виды, периодичность). Характеризуется специфика подготовки кадров на факультете информационно-библиотечной технологии и менеджмента культуры Арктического государственного института культуры и искусства.
