An information system for peasant (farm) enterprises as a tool for enhancing food security through the reclamation of unused agricultural land

The effective reclamation of unused agricultural land is regarded as a key component of national food security and the implementation of State Programme No. 731, which mandates the recultivation of 13 million hectares of unused agricultural land by 2030. The State Programme aims to incentivize agricultural producers to bring fallow agricultural land back into productive use. The study demonstrates that the current economic measures, legal approaches, and modernization of federal and regional information systems on agricultural land remain largely ineffective.

The study aims to conduct a comprehensive historical analysis of the evolution of the Timiryazev Academy (Russian State Agrarian University – Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy) from its foundation in 1865 to the present day, to identify patterns of continuity in scientific and educational traditions, as well as to summarize the experience of adapting agricultural education to the political, social, and economic challenges of different eras, including repressions, wars, reforms, and crises.

The relevance of this study is conditioned by the urgent need to enhance global food security and to explore pathways for modernizing the agro-food system in the context of escalating contemporary challenges and multifaceted threats. The aim of this article is to identify the factors contributing to instability in food supply and to determine strategies for strengthening global food security at the current stage of development. It is noted that both developed and developing countries face two major coexisting food-related problems: obesity and hunger.

The world is increasingly using sanctions to achieve the economic and political goals of their initiators. They tend to target key sectors of the economy, including trade and finance. Sanctions are also applied to individuals and companies. At the same time, agriculture and food security are formally exempted from restrictions on humanitarian grounds, but are still negatively affected because they are an integral part of the economy.

The article highlights the problems of the importance and necessity of the permanent consumption of fresh and processed fruit and berry products, which are essential for human health as the main strategic resource of the economy of any state. The aim of the article is to demonstrate the possibilities of providing the population with fresh fruits, berries and processed products in the volume corresponding to the rational consumption norms, to determine the ways of improving the sustainable development of the domestic fruit subcomplex in the conditions of international sanctions.

The relevance of the study is related to the need to assess the level of development of scientific knowledge and the degree of development of individual scientific problems in the field of agricultural economics. The purpose of this work is to study the dynamics of the number of publications in the field of agricultural economics in Russia and highlight their main topics. The main research method is content analysis within the bibliometric research. The results indicate great attention of scientists to various aspects of agricultural economics.
