Submitted by Гость (not verified) on Thu, 08/25/2022 - 13:08The article represents the survey results of 68 central libraries, and reveals two key aspects of local studies: an attitude to norms formulated by the «Guidelines to Local Studies Activity of the Central Library of a Subject of the RF» (2003), and corresponding common library practices to the norms. Authors consider the role of libraries as the centers of local studies. The term ‘unrealistic’ describes the situation in most cases; despite low estimation, the librarians, nevertheless, are not ready to abandon the norms.
Books e-fair as a bibliographic product

The study was carried on with analyzing the curricular material of «Social Communication» course and the document processing disciplines cycle.
Library Service for Elderly Readers in France

The article is based on the results of the analysis of the following documents: reports of the Ministry of Culture and Communications of France, National summaries of data on the activities of municipal libraries, research articles and dissertations on the topic of the older generation in the library.

Association of their owners in the bibliographic circle «Friends of the book» was of great importance for the preservation of book treasures of the city and book propagation among the population. The activity of the circle was reflected in the critical and bibliographic journal «Kazan bibliophile», that was the only provincial journal of that time, entirely devoted to the book and its propagation.
