The article describes educational activities of the Faculty of Information, Library and Museum Technologies (FILMT) of the Kemerovo State Institute of Culture (KEMSIK) and underlines the importance of the system approach to it in training future professionals. The purpose of the article is to demonstrate trends in the development of educational activities and its specific features within the directions of the faculty. Basic regulations for educational activities in higher education are examined, and key areas of this work are identified: mass, group, and individual. Key directions of educational activities of the University of Culture are highlighted: humanism, patriotism, intercultural interaction, aesthetic education, individualism, integration of upbringing and pedagogy, professional orientation and adaptability, creativity, and social partnership. In the context of FILMT, which trains specialists for memory institutions, the following areas are emphasized: information culture and literacy, informational-c ommunicative competencies; moral-a esthetic education, civic position and social responsibility, professionalism, creative approach. The description of educational activities of the faculty is provided, identifying main directions over the period from 2019 to 2024, highlighting existing problems.
