The Library of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and its contribution to the university’s research and educational environment

The author explores the role of the Library of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in the educational and research processes. She analyzes the library’s key functions including providing students and faculty with the access to relevant learning and scientific resources, educating information literacy, and support of research initiatives. She also emphasizes the role of the library in the dynamic academic environment, e. g. book displays, poetry club, webinars, multimedia projects, etc. The author also accentuates that the library is a key element in effective educational process and university’s scientific authority.
