И. А. Фокичева The purpose of the article is to examine the current state of university book publishing in Buryatia in 2017–2021, to characterize the species diversity of their publications. The work contains the historiographic analysis of publications devoted to the problem under study using the example of university publishing houses in the country as a whole, including Siberian and the Far Eastern regions. Statistical data on the release of various types of documents are presented; the dynamics of the release of publications of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Buryatia is reflected: Buryat State University named after Dorzhi Banzarov, East Siberian State University of Technology and Management, East Siberian State Institute of Culture, Buryat State Agricultural Academy. The authors note that publishing houses of higher educational establishments annually demonstrate elevated rates of issuing various types of editions in the republic. Due to the need to provide the educational process with specialized publications, the main part of their repertoire includes, first, scientific and scholarly ones.
