Improvement of Librarians’ Skills as an Indispensable Condition of Continuous Professional Development

The article substantiates the relevance of continuous professional development for library specialists in connection with implementation of the professional standard «Specialist in library and information activity». Continuous professional development is considered as a complex of formal, informal and non-formal training.
