The terminological analysis of the notions used in library theory and practice: «socio-cultural», «cultural and leisure», «leisure» activities is made; feasibility of using the term «leisure activity» as a synthesizing notion is proved.
This article is devoted to the Russian historiography of the Russian-German relations in the book business sphere. It establishes thematic focus, character features of available publications and gaps in studying the problem history based on sources analysis. The author made a conclusion on the necessity of a complex approach to investigate the Russian-German book contacts in the historical-cultural context.
The article is based on foreign collections of Russian printing materials. Their analysis has shown that some of the most active public associations in Russian China were the Cossack ones, which existed in Harbin, Shanghai and areas adjacent to the Soviet-Chinese border. The Cossacks paid great attention to printed publications. They published articles and information about their activities in the Russian press in China. The Cossack Union in the Far East developed a special publication activity.
The paper is devoted to the development of «scientific thought» as a concept and a methodological category in the history of library science. The processes of generation and formation of scientific thought in the domestic librarianship and library science at the initial stage, i.e. since its inception to institutionalization as a scientific discipline, are examined.
To access the efficiency of scientific activity such bibliometrical indicators as citation index and impact-factor are used. During the last years there appeared new resources for their determination: Scopus, Google Scholar, Russian index of scientific citation, etc. Methodical work of the SPSTL SB RAS on the usage of these resources is described.
Organizational problems of forming investigational cluster, as well as its potential advantages and disadvantages as an instrument for stimulating research work in libraries and information centers on regional level are considered.
