The author provides a brief analysis of the material and technical, information and library resources and activities of the SB RAS libraries network during 2006–2010.
The history of the publishing activity of the large scientific subdivision of the Russian Academy of Sciences is presented for the first time. The editorial-publishing department of Komi Scientific Centre is a leader of the scientific book publishing in the Republic of Komi, its production corresponds to the best publishing traditions of the Academy of Sciences.
This article is devoted to topical issues of increasing the efficiency of a library website and the introduction of a data-driven approach. A data driven approach is considered as a management strategy for the development of a site in a web environment, based on data from web analytical tools as the basis for decision-making. The author has developed a website management model that includes the sequence of actions: goal setting, performance monitoring, data analysis, planning, decision-making, implementation of changes, control.
Inconsistency of professional regulations is characterized and the content analysis of job instructions is given. The possibility of introducing professional standards in the library and information activity as the basis for
developing educational standards and job descriptions. An example of a professional standard of the fifth professional qualification level is given.
This is the first of three articles, devoted to regularities of the documentary-communication sphere sciences, claiming to be the laws. The paper discusses the laws of bibliography science in accordance with the science of science criteria imposed to a scientific law.
Implementation of the software in the acquisition technology at the Central Library System of the RAS Library on natural sciences allows to analyze the experts' estimations using the graphic data presentation. It considerably makes easier for the acquisition librarians to select publications which are of most interest to the scientists and employees of the RAS. The structural-functional scheme for the automated working place of an acquisition librarian and its working algorithm are presented.
