Archimandrite Leonid (Kavelin) and a collection of Slavic manuscripts in the library of St. Paul in Mount Athos monastery

The article is devoted to bibliologic researches of the collection of Slavic manuscripts from the library of the Greek monastery of St. Paul in Mount Athos by Archimandrite Leonid (Kavelin). It tells about the history of the library of the Greek monastery of St. Paul. Through the study of various unpublished and published sources we were able to reestablish one of the moments of the history of the Serbian-Slavic manuscripts in this library, first presented in this article.

The article introduces the results of works on digitalizing of outstanding old Russian manuscripts and early printed books which are carried out in the Rare book and Manuscript Department of SPSTL of SB RAS. The novelty and currency of this area in the study of Russian medieval book culture is determined by the factor of searching archaeographical work. Their presentation in the series «Book monument of Siberia» answers the urgent tasks of broadening the source base for scientific developments in the area of humanitarian studies.

The article discusses problems of research and representation of the Buddhist literary tradition in Buryatia. It shows main factors of forming the tradition, gives characteristics of its current state and transformation under modern conditions. The approaches to a database generation and archaeographic investigations results presentation are discribed. The methodology of authority data control and GIS technology to create online information resource are represented.
