Integrated system of automated bibliographic control of sci-tech literature: Technological approaches and prospective possibilities

Based on the analysis of the global information support of science and technology, the author proposes solutions for radical reorganization of Russia’s system of sci-tech information which would provide nearly 100% coverage of the documentary flow and, at the same time, simultanenous user services relevant to every possible information need of researchers.

This paper presents the outcomes of the second scientific and practical conference organized by INION RAS, dedicated to artificial intelligence (AI) in library activities. The essence of the presentations is summarized, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of using neural network applications in library practice in Russia and neighbor countries.
