Human Resource of Scientific and Technical Libraries: Actual Problem of Researching and Design

The article is devoted to the problem of personnel training for SciTex libraries and describes possible models of training such specialists in universities. The relevance is due to the increased attention from the state and society to SciTex libraries and the lack of the human resource ready to implement social relations and social functions assigned to libraries in the key of implementing the strategy of technical and intellectual sovereignty of the country.

Building search and analytical competences of master’s students for scientific reviewing

Today, scientific reviewing is not the area of strength of Russian researchers. In many ways, it is due to the lack of research competences taught to the graduate students, and, in particular, search and analytical competences that correspond to the active-operational component of the competence. To overcome this shortcoming, the authors have developed and tested an approach to selecting publications for scientific reviewing. The approach comprises five steps: selecting the starting sample, its expansion, truncation, analysis, and final selection.

The paper is devoted to the problems of improving the system of training and expertise of scientific personnel in the field of library and information sciences. The relevance is due to the decrease in the quality of dissertation research in library science, bibliography and book studies due to the insufficient readiness of young scientific personnel for research activities.

Today, the educational paradigm in the library and information sphere engages the concepts of “competency” and “competence”.
