The ecological profile of Donbass bibliographic landscape. Part 2

In the paper Part 2, the authors introduce the findings of the analysis of ecological bibliography landscape in Donetsk People’s Republic (Donetsk Region before 2014). The data for 2000–2024 were processed for the study. The paper goal is to generalize the bibliographic data pool through the statistical approach of comprehensive correlation of the publications with several subject headings.

In the paper Part 1, the authors discuss the findings of the statistical review of ecological literature in Donetsk People’s Republic (before 2014 – Donetsk Oblast). The bibliographic data of 2000–2024 were processed. The authors substantiate the terms “profile” and “landscape” as applied to bibliographic data statistics. They tested the method of weighing ecological publications multifunctionality for identification of trends in the nature management sector and technological development of the Northern Azov Region.

The purpose of the article is to present the history of activities and conditions of formation of the depository collection of the Central Scientific and Technical Library (CSTL) of the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information (ISTI) of the Donetsk People’s Republic, to substantiate the necessity of research on the thematic direction "Coal Industry of Donbass" and to develop the methodological approach to its monitoring, scientific and thematic structuring.
