The article continues the exploration of “non-ideal” epistemology by focusing on collective epistemic attitudes such as prejudice and stereotypes. These attitudes are examined in terms of their epistemic status, distinct from moral evaluation. The article challenges the view of prejudices and stereotypes as inherentlyfalse by analyzing their functions of cognitive economy and social legitimation, first noted by W. Lippmann.

The paper presents a brief analysis of the procedural approach towards constructing liberal political conceptions of justice and democracy. Treatment of J. Rawls’s evolution shows the negative consequences of abandoning external substantive criteria for theory evaluation, including efficiency, justification, truth. It also offers justification for the “epistemic turn” in contemporary political theory.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the sociocultural phenomenon of ‘post-truth’ in the modern communication space and the model of mass communication that is formed on this basis. Empirical manifestations, philosophical foundations and social determinants of the phenomenon are investigated; an attempt is made to elucidate the sociocultural essence of post-truth in conjunction with the phenomena of ‘post-democracy’ and ‘post-journalism’, a forecast of the effects of the subjects of communication following the attitudes of postmodern philosophy is given.

The article reconstructs an antique understanding of the genesis of value being and the meaning of the concept of the “Good”. The author proposes his own versions of interpretation of the Good based on the dialogue “The Republic”. The result is the demonstration of similarity and difference of understanding of the Good in the philosophy of Plato, Aristotle and the Stoics. The paper also shows the relationship of the founding value being of the Good with practical goal-setting andtruth.

The article offers an analysis of the “turn” in Martin Heidegger’s teachings about the truth. The concept of truth of the German thinker before and after the “turn” is revealed and the specifics of its transformation are explained. The article considers lying as an epistemic attitude, analyzes its structural and substantive characteristics. In particular, it considers the pragmatic consequences of using false beliefs, primarily in scientific practice. The theory of argumentation is supposed to be connected to rationality. Traditionally, rationality was defined in terms of logic, and at the same time considered as an essential part of the theory of argumentation. Thus argumentation acquired the property of rationality, while the rhetorical component ensured the success of communication. Epistemic paternalism is usually understood as interference in the inquiry of another person without their consent, but for their own good. The epistemic good is often treated in the tradition of “veritism” which means the pursuit of truth. The article argues that one of the options for justifying epistemic paternalism can be epistemic akrasia, that manifests itself either in the acceptance of opposing views, or the inability to draw conclusions from already accepted premises, or the refusal to adhere to higher-order epistemic attitudes.
