Voegelin, L. Strauss. It is shown that such phenomena as war, anti-semitism, violent actions during the First and the Second World Wars and interwar period had a significant effect on thinkers who had to reflect on the nature of violence, relying not only on historical, political and philosophical thought, but also on personal experience.
