Growth, development and productivity of broilers using phytobiotic additives

The studies were conducted on Ross 308 cross broiler chickens to evaluate the effect of phytobiotic feed additives based on essential oil herbs ( nigella, coriander and milk thistle ) on growth, metabolism and meat productivity. The feed additives were introduced in the main diet at a level of 1-2%, replacing part of the diet. During the experiment, the dynamics of live weight and feed conversion were monitored. The end of the technological cycle was considered after 48 days. Before slaughter, the pre-slaughter weight was determined and blood samples were taken.

Analysis of blood biochemical status is a universal way of monitoring metabolism and general physiological state of animals, which determines the relevance of identifying the nature of relationships between blood biochemical parameters and various economically useful and biological traits. The aim of the work is to determine the correlations between blood biochemical parameters and morphological features of broiler chickens (on the example of cross Ross 308).

Due to the changing conditions of economic development, there is an increase in demand for beef produced in our country. Satisfying the need for beef is possible not only by increasing the number of livestock specialized in meat production. One of the effective solutions in cattle breeding can be the use of combined breeds, among which we can single out the Simmental breed, which is distinguished by good growth and development rates under the conditions of intensive cultivation technologies.

The paper deals with some issues related to the meat productivity development of three breeds of sheep of different production purposes: Kuibyshev (meat-wool), Romanov (wool skin) and Texel (meat). Most studies on meat productivity are based on determining the carcass composition: all the muscles, bones, and fat tissue. It should be taken into account that the muscles that form the animal’s body differ in their internal structure depending on the location and function.
