Assessment of the variability of decorative traits of species of the genus Dianthus L. in conditions of the Mountain Botanical Garden (Republic of Dagestan)

The results of an introduction study of 16 species of the genus Dianthus L. in the Mountain Botanical Garden of the Dagestan Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences are presented. The variability of decorative traits of carnations and their introduction resistance in mountainous conditions was assessed. The colouring of the flowers of introduced carnations has 5 colors and shades: white, pale pinkish, yellowish-cream, pink, mauve. Long-term studies were carried out at the experimental base of the Russian State Agrarian University – Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy ( Michurinsky district, Tambov region ) in the conditions of the northern part of the Central Chernozem region. The breeding program to create new varieties of white lupine ( Lupinus albus L. ) of determinant type was carried out on leached chernozems and included studies to assess the effect of stress factors on the main dynamic parameters and seed productivity of varieties of white lupine selected by the RSAU – MTAA.

In field experiments for four years (2019–2022) in the conditions of the northern part of the Central Chernozem region, the productivity components of different varieties of white lupin (Lupinus albus L.) were determined and presented in the article Dega, Delta, Start, Manovitsky, Timiryazevsky and Gana, the varieties of breeding of Russian State Agrarian University – Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy, were studied.

Age dynamics of the live weight of the Kazakh white-headed breed of beef cattle

The aim of the study is to establish the age dynamics of the variability of live weight with the average daily liveweight gain of the Kazakh white-headed breed of beef cattle. In all analyzed agricultural enterprises at the age of six months, the live weight of bulls varied from 172.4 kg to 196.5 kg, and in heifers – from 160.1 kg to 180.7 kg, respectively. According to the indicators of the average daily liveweight gain, there are som e differences between bulls and heifers.
