Variability of the felted cherry (Prunus tomentosa Thunb.) in the Republic of Altai

Felted cherry is a valuable fruit crop due to its high adaptability and nutritional value of the fruit. In the territory of Russia, felted cherry is a cultivated plant. All natural populations are feral plants that entered the European part of Russia more than 150 years ago through the Primorsky Krai. The aim of the study is to assess the variability and conjugacy of fruit and leaf characters in a population of felted cherry. The subjects of the study were the wild felted cherry trees growing near the island of Patmos, Chemalsky district, Republic of Altai.

Comparative evaluation of winter hardiness of blackberries when covered for winter and treated with the natural organomineral phytomodulator “Beliy Zhemchug Antifreeze”

The article presents data on the feasibility of using the natural organomineral phytomodulator “Beliy Zhemchug Antifreeze” (NOP BZh Antifreeze) to increase the resistance of a lowwinter-hardy blackberry crop to low freezing temperatures. The objects of the study were erect and semi-erect varieties of blackberries – “Ouachita”, “Chester”, “Black Magic”, “Black Gem”, “Loch Tay”. The experiment was carried out in the Moscow region, Dmitrovsky district, in a private berry nursery. The seedlings were grown in 10-litre containers for two years.

Improving the technology of reproduction of sweet-berry honeysuckle (Lonicera caerulea L.) with woody cuttings

Sweet-berry honeysuckle (Lonicera caerulea L) is a promising berry crop that can be marketed throughout the summer due to the diversity of cultivars with different ripening periods. The area occupied by honeysuckle in Russia is 700 hectares. To increase industrial plantations, it is necessary to provide farms with high-quality planting material. One of the ways of obtaining seedlings is through wood cuttings. The aim of our work is to select a root formation stimulator for woody honeysuckle cuttings. The experiment was carried out in the Moscow region.
