Methodology for assessing the export potential of a grain cluster

The article develops a methodology for assessing the export potential of a grain cluster. The methodology is based on the integration of five functional blocks, which include production and resource indicators, logistics and infrastructure indicators, market and economic conjuncture indicators, institutional indicators, and financial and investment indicators. For quantitative measurement, an integral indicator is proposed. It is calculated by normalizing partial indicators and then summing them up with weighting coefficients.

The article is devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Faculty of Economics, now the Institute of Economics and Management in Agribusiness of Russian State Agrarian University – Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy, the stages of foundation and development of agroeconomic science and education. The periods of development of the faculty and the origin of scientific economic schools during the period from 1865 till 1917 are analyses.

The article is devoted to the scientific schools of the Faculty of Economics, now the Institute of Economics and Management in Agribusiness of Russian State Agrarian University – Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy. They have been developed during the 100-year period of the Faculty’s work in Timiryazev Academy. The research areas and periods of development of each school and their significant scientific research results are analyzed.
