Development features and state assessment of Dianthus awaricus Khar. during introduction in mountainous Dagestan

The article presents the results of long-term monitoring (2018–2023) of Dianthus awaricus Khar. at the Tsudakhar experimental base of the Mountain Botanical Garden, Dagestan Federal Research Center, Russian Academy of Sciences. The study aimed to characterize the development and assess the state of this endemic species in mountainous Dagestan. The D. awaricus ontogenetic spectrum includes latent (seeds), pregenerative (seedlings, juvenile, immature, virginal) and generative (young, middle-aged, old) stages. Analysis of variance revealed statistically significant differences among D.

This article examines the biometric features related to the productivity of hazelnut seedlings in the Southern Urals. In amateur growing regions, hazelnut productivity varies from 0.5 kg/bush to 3.5 kg/bush, occasionally reaching 5.3 kg/bush or less. While hazel is an introduced crop on the eastern slope of the Ural Mountains and is successfully cultivated in household gardens, reliable data on its productivity under these specific conditions are lacking. This study aims to assess the productivity of a representative group of plants grown from seed.

The article is devoted to the activities of Richard Ivanovich Schroeder, an outstanding Russian scientist, practitioner and teacher in the field of Horticulture. The outstanding role of R.I. Schroeder in the development of scientific horticulture, vegetable growing and ornamental gardening, in the foundation of educational activities in the Petrovsky (now the RSAU-MTAA) Academy is described. Information about the main directions of scientific activity of R.I. Schroeder is presented.

A comprehensive assessment and selection of the most valuable taxa suitable for use in landscaping under certain natural and climatic conditions is one of the most important tasks of introduction studies of ornamental plants. The article presents the results of a comprehensive variety assessment, a study of the seasonal rhythm of growth and development, and morphometric characteristics of 20 hybrid daylily varieties (Hemerocallis hybrida hort.) in the South-Ural Botanical Garden-Institute of UFRC RAS.

Analyzing the varieties of apple trees included in the assortment of the Orenburg region from various regions of our country, it can be noted that fruits of attractive appearance, large size, good taste and high yield are in the greatest demand. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to select varieties and introduce them as sustainable agrocenoses for the Orenburg region. The article presents the results of a study of 15 introduced apple varieties. Landing pattern is 3.0 × 5.0 m. The studies were carried out in 2019–2021.
