The effect of wetting agents on the decorative qualities of the lawn covering formed by the plants of the bentgrass (Agrostis stolonifera L.) of the ‘PLS’ variety mixture has been studied. The studies were carried out in a small-plot field experiment on sandy soil, in the conditions of the Moscow region. All research is aimed at studying the demand in the golf industry, which will help to understand the effectiveness and appropriateness of the use of investigational agents.

The article presents the results of research on clonal micropropagation of sour cherry (Prunus cerasus L.) which is difficult to reproduce at the proliferation stage by traditional methods. A number of modern winter-hardy domestic cultivars of P. cerasus are promising for plantation cultivation of this crop in the Nonchernozem zone of the European part of Russia. The aim of the study was to carry out a comparative evaluation of the therapeutic potency of Estrophantine ® , a drug of the highly active synthetic analog of prostaglandin F 2 alpha (PgF 2α ) cloprostenol, when goats with hydrometer were twice injected intramuscularly with a 10-day interval in a dose of 0.5 and 1.0 ml, respectively. The objects of the study were breeding goats of breeding age (n=6) and lactating goats (n=37) of the Zaanen breed diagnosed with false pregnancy during screening ultrasound examination.

It is known that the seasonality of reproductive function is much more pronounced in mares than in stallions. The mare goes through an anestrus period in autumn and winter, while spermatogenesis in stallions continues throughout the year. Therefore, studies of cryoresistance of stallion sperm in different months of the year are relevant. The aim of the study was to study the cryoresistance of stallion sperm in different months of the year when creating cryopreservation of genetic material with intensive breeding use of sires.

Nowadays, table grape consumers prefer seedless grape varieties, so the market promotion of seedless varieties continues at a rapid pace. Responding to consumer preferences, the breeders have developed numerous various-flavour seedless varieties with large berries and bunches. The study purpose is to assess the prospects of cultivation and use in breeding of a new seedless Regal Seedless grape variety bred in South Africa. By origin, this is an intraspecific hybrid of the species V. vinifera L., with an early middle ripening period.

Plant production processes and nitrogen metabolism of chinese cabbage (Brassica chinensis L.) when grown under led illumination

The paper describes two series of experiments with Chinese cabbage (Brassica chinensis L.). The authors studied the productivity of crops and distribution of dry matter and nitrate pool in plant tissues. Plants were grown in a non-circulating passive hydroponic installation under white and red LEDs in nutrient solutions with various nitrogen concentrations (nitrate -from 40 to 150 mg/l, ammonia -from 0 to 70 mg/l). The study found positive correlation between the accumulation of dry weight of plants and the nitrogen concentration in the nutrient solution in the range from 40 to 120 mg/l.

Under the conditions of a 24-day model experiment on soil samples of ordinary chernozem (Corg=3.6%, pH=7.4), the effect of biopreparations on the biological activity and on the dynamics of the content of two forms of soil organic matter (Chwl and Corg) was evaluated. Based on the results of theeffectof the used biopreparations on the intensity of substrate-induced soil respiration, they can be classified as means of biological activation of soil.
