Formation of underground mass by cereal and legume-cereal grass mixtures in the central region of the Non-chernozem zone of the Russian Federation

In the studies carried out in 2004–2005 at the structural subdivision of Russian State Agrarian University – Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy (Field Station), accumulation of NPK in the roots was observed. It was revealed that the underground mass of agrophytocenoses consisting of legume and cereal component mowed twice significantly outstripped the variants mowed three times during the growing season. The maximum underground mass was recorded in the third year of use. It was 8.70–10.7 t/ha in the variant with the variegated alfalfa Lugovaya 67.

Applying electronic microscopy to determine the microstructure and absorption capacity of a bun-based sorbent in relation to heavy metals

The authors have made an assessment of the absorption capacity of a new sorbent based on the bun of the technical “Surskaya” hemp variety in relation to heavy metal ions: copper (II), chromium (III) and chromium (VI), using scanning electronic microscopy. It has been established that in the process of absorption, the bun surface morphology changes, namely, the number of micropores decreases. The use of special detectors has allowed to perform an elemental analysis of the surface of the studied samples.

Phytopathogenic fungi are the causative agent for disruptive crop plant diseases, besides causing significant losses in crop yield annually. Sclerotinia is one of the most common and dangerous pathogens. Species of the Sclerotinia genus cause widespread disease across a broad range 40 of economically important agricultural crops. Regular screening of Sclerotinia in plant material is necessary due to wide host-plants range and absence of resistance to this phytopathogen.

In aquaculture, physiological assessment is required to monitor the health status of fish. Blood is the most responsive system in the organism of hydrobionts to changes in external factors. The study of hematological parameters of fish allows for early diagnosis of diseases, working out the technological mode of breeding and rearing, and selection. The typing of cells in circulating fluids is important for compiling hemocytic and leukocyte formulas characterizing the cellular component of the organism’s immune response.

Many factors influence milking performance. The milking machine is one of the most important components of a milking unit. Irrespective of its design features it is intended for extracting milk from the udder under vacuum. A promising area for the prevention of mastitis in cows is the use of silver and zinc nanoparticles. In the preliminary phase, no significant differences were found in all indicators.

The effect of organic compounds synthesized at the Department of Organic Chemistry of Voronezh State University on the sowing qualities and growth performance of the deciduous shrub Rhododendron yellow (Rhododendron luteum Sweet) and sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) was studied. The purpose of the work was to identify the effects of 6-hydroxy-2,2,4-trimethyl-1,2dihydroquinoline and its derivatives on the growth activity of Rhododendron yellow and sugar beet.

The development of traditional agricultural consumer cooperatives, created within the framework of Federal Law-193, in Russia is extremely slow. This is facilitated by a number of economic, institutional and psychological constraints. Accordingly, despite the rapid growth of production in peasant farms, and the still significant share of households in the gross agricultural output, for the most part they are not members of agricultural consumer cooperatives. However, cooperative interaction is especially important for small businesses.
