The Eurasian socio-cultural space is undergoing fundamental changes due to both global challenges and internal modernization processes. Sociocultural transformations of localities are a multidimensional, dynamic process during which sociocultural identities, values, practices and institutions are formatted. The hypothesis of the study is that the analysis of the evolution of the socio-cultural sphere and the identifi-cation and assessment of factors of the development of localities make it possible to determine the determinants and models of transformation of the socio-cultural space. Sociocultural dynamics crystallizes as a state of conflict in a multi-confessional, multi-ethnic society, representing a mixture of styles, norms, principles reflecting the features and priorities of tradition, modernity and archaism. The movement towards variability and variability generates instability of the socio-cultural environment, contributes to the imbalance of basic values, the weakening of mentality and the destruction of the socio-cultural matrix. Within localities, a procedure is initiated for constructing hybrid models of socioculture commensurate with the interests and needs of divergent groups. A motivated, purposeful search for ways to adapt generates processes of polarization and confrontation of society, and programs the emergence of «losing communities». There is a driſt in localities that combines integration and disintegration tendencies, manifested in disregard for basic values, provoking a decrease in the stability of localities and the loss of socio-cultural identity.
