Г. Л. Левин The purpose of the article is to present the results of the study of the current state of presentation of journals on library and information topics in the National Bibliographic Database of Scientific Citation of the Russian Research Center and the List of peer–reviewed publications of the Higher Attestation Commission, where the basic results of theses, competing for Candidate and Doctoral scientific degrees should be published. It is noted that the library and information sphere, which specialists provide information to scientists and specialists in various fields of science and practice, itself needs its own information infrastructure to ensure the practice of librarianship and bibliography and library and information science (library science, bibliography and book studies). The author analyzes the practice of indexing and archiving serials on the portal of the Scientific Electronic Library eLIBRARY.RU, integrated with the RSCI database, presentation of journals recommended in the List of peer – reviewed publications of the Higher Attestation Commission for the specialty “5.10.4. Library Science, Bibliography Science and Book Studies” and proposes options for adjusting the lists of journals in both directions.
