М. А. Абрамова The authors consider the influence of the development of high technologies on the transformation of society and in particular on the change in the value and quality of research. Within the conception of industrial civilization, high technology is a social and cultural phenomenon, influencing the social being and social consciousness of people. The analysis of the sociocultural consequences of the development of high technologies and the corresponding changes in the socially important areas allows to outline the contours of the future society and suggest the emerging potential of the human existence in the conditions of a postindustrial society.
